A latest survey in Singapore has found that seniors here are generally well cared for by their children.
According to local newspaper the Straits Times on Tuesday, The Tsao Foundation, which partnered research firm TNS to for the survey, many caregivers did not stop at giving financial support to their elderly relatives.
The survey, which polled 222 persons looking after at least onepers on aged 60 and above, showed that more than seven in ten of those caring for an elderly person said they give their charge an allowance.
Two in three said they pay for their senior’s medical bills and a similar proportion keeps them company.
